WEEKLY THEME: METAL
I read metal and I thought of
MEDALS made of metal.
The two on the left belonged to my late father.
The first is a World War II Victory Medal, the second
was awared to my father for Honorable Service
While A Prisoner of War. The third medal
on the right had belonged to my late husband
for his Service in Viet Nam.

Talk about evoking the theme! This is very cool and really makes you think.
I had no idea what to do with this week's theme, so I'm afraid I did stretch it a bit in a lighter vein:

Have a great weekend!
Those are beautiful medals, Claudia. Both the gentlemen sure made the country proud. :)

Absolutely beautiful, I love it.
You should put those in a nice shadow box to display them. Such a touching take on the theme.

You have a great take on this theme. Men of honor and valor. Happy weekend!
Super rendition of the week's theme.
My metal is posted. Drop by for a visit if you can!
Happy Hunting.
That is one of the best uses of metal that there is. Honoring service with medals is such a small repayment for their service but still it's a tangible statement of honor.
Mine is up, too.

Those medals are so impressive, but, more impressive is what they symbolise! Great idea for the prompt!
I love your take on the theme. Very inspirational and a great tribute to the men in your life who gave so much for their country.
Great take on the theme...and thanks to your family for earning them!
Perfect! Great photo for the theme - I don't know how you could have fit it more thoroughly! Our gratitude to your father and husband for their sacrifice and service.
WOW! This is the best post I've seen so far-- metal medals! Perfect! I did something that goes with yours, actually-- the machines that gave men such metals.
I hope you get a chance to visit and leave your link. :)
