Music Notes

Great week for fun music listening here in Redding!
Sunday evening was the gypsy jazz of “Roma” and friends! Very professional and talented group that delivered fun and wonderful music at Old City Hall. Later in the week at the Cascade Theatre, I heard “The Cab Calloway Orchestra”, led by his grandson! Wow, could they play! Saturday evening was my friends “Indigo Brew” with a guitar guest from “Brown Shoe” performing at the “Post Office Saloon”. The keyboard player, the drummer and bass guitar player are Mom, Dad and son! ‘’

Spring break for Redding teachers warranted only two walking get togethers. We joined together at the Sundial Bridge for an hour or so walk. Stops at the Art Gallery and Cafe were also enjoyed along the way. Even the sighting of a rattlesnake did not deter us (only changed our direction)! The incredible weather made the venture even more
special.

Easter was a gathering at my niece, Vicky’s home with her darling kids. They enjoyed the bunny bag of goodies I brought them. Also, it was my chance to meet the newest family member, baby Melody.
This is Noah’s (my 2nd generation cousin, Vicky’s son) 6 week old daughter. She is just home from the hospital as she was premature and only now weighs 5 lbs. We made sure to take a four generation photo! I’m hoping that all of you also had a wonderful Easter.

Alison’s Visit


My daughter, Alison, who is a speech therapist in a school district in Portland, Oregon recently spent her Spring Break here in Redding with me. John, her partner, also from Redding drove down with her. I joined them and his family for dinner at Market Street Steaks
(where my son, Chris is a bartender/server). Great dinner and pleasant company.

We also tried to cram in as many relatives and activities as possible--during the days. (In the evenings, John and Alison did their own thing with their friends.) In the day time, we took a walk at the Sundial Bridge, visited cousins and other family members, did some shopping
also helped me with some computer needs, we shared ideas, thoughts and many laughs.

As previously mentioned, spend time with a person under 30 and amazingly, they can give any computer problem an easy answer. So from now on my blog will look different and it will have “links”. Still trying to figure out how to make sure my photos are rotated correctly. Comment if you know the answer.

We also, went to see the musical CATS! At first the story line and words were difficult to understand, but then if began to make sense. The music and the dancing and
stage and props where amazing! Very professional!

New baby cousin, Melody, was still in hospital () and we were not able to see her. We were able to see the Norman’s twin boys and Vicky’s 1 year old son. Three year old Emma was at preschool, so we missed her.

Alison was continually exclaiming about the clear BLUE skies, and the warm sun. Apparently, (ha) Portland is not so blessed. Of course, in August, the coin may be flipped!

SPRING BRINGS....

The first day of spring has come and here in northern California, we have had many incredibly gorgeous days which come close to perfection. So of course, many thoughts swirl around in my head and my “to do” list grows. Yes, enthusiastically I begin the spring rituals of outside and inside spring “cleaning”. My neighbor kicked off the outdoor process with a shared new fence between our properties. I then began to do the mandatory pulling (not putting as I mistyped in my previous entry) of the weeds. Next, came the planting of new flowers in my hanging pots (however, some of the flowers I want are not available yet). I also hope to purchase a few rose bushes, my brother-in-law said he would plant them for me. The patio furniture still needs to be cleaned and cushions put out, yet rain is forecast, so I’ll wait awhile. My new gardener has the yard looking pretty good!
The house spring cleaning includes clearing out the garage which means getting ready for a yard sale. Ugh, I do not like doing this one. Another job I have been putting off is washing the windows. I have, though, tackled the moving of winter clothes and summer clothes from one closet to another. Soon, I need to make an appointment to have the carpets cleaned!
But, the BEST part is enjoying the weather and not stressing about the “to do" list. Some things may not EVER get done (see March 21st entry). I like the longer days, they keeps me outside and busy instead of being sedentary in front of the computer or tv. I enjoy spending the time outside gardening, walking, reading or simply lying in the sun.

Hello all,

Spring is here!! The fragrance of sweet blossoms fill the air (aachoo) and petals flutter to the ground like snowflakes! I am, of course, loving the SUN.

Thursday past, I drove to Santa Clara to join Bonnie’s family at the viewing of an amazing school musical her daughter (Lauren) was performing in. The program was on Friday evening, but I had gone on Thursday in order to catch that evening an “old” friend’s jazz gig in the city. Mike, (Bonnie’s husband) also a jazz fan, went with me. It was fun to see him and listen to his wonderful jazz group.

Friday, was a workout at Bonnie’s ultra fancy club. As I am a Curves and treadmill gal, I had a little trouble with her machines. One I kept going backwards on, and one knocked off my glasses and then I fell off the seat backwards. Vicky, Ken and the kids arrived later that afternoon. That evening Mike prepared a great buffet for all before going to Lauren’s schools performance. The musical was not really like a school performance--more like a theatrical show put on by a children’s group. The stage settings were incredible.

Saturday, was a kick back day, Bonnie had to work at another performance. Vicky and I took the kids to the park. That evening we enjoyed an excellent Ahi tuna salad prepared by Mike. Sunday, after brunch I came home. So all in all a wonderful weekend. Thanks to great family.

His week I hope wash windows, to plant some flowers in the hanging pots on the patio and put some weeds. The weather is gorgeous so I want to spend some time reading outside.

Here we go again. I write as I listen to NPR’s “Wait, wait...don’t tell me.”
I HAVE WONDERFUL FRIENDS! I have to, because the last two weekends I have risen out of my warm, cozy, RETIREMENT bed at 6:30 a.m. to join one or two of them. The previous Saturday (2-24-07) morning I joined the gals for my first trip to the Mt. Shasta Ski Park. I’ve never skied, so I just went to sit in the lodge-- bar (enjoyed a couple of bloody marys), watched out the window, read a book and visited with the friendly people. It was beautiful with light snow coming down.
I think I’ll try it one spring day with no snow falling.
Today was the other early morning, as I joined Viv to be part of the community “book passing” from the old library to the brand new library. We stood in line for about three hours, passing books, enjoying the sunshine and visiting with nice people while listening to the amazing Cypress and Sequoia string students!! It was a BIG event as the TV news was there and a helicopter flew over head for a aerial photo. Afterwards, everyone went to the new library for the dedication and the open house. The new library is wonderful and so welcomed!
We also welcomed a new member of the Hastings family, my nephew Noah, has a daughter, Melody Evans.
She is a tiny ( 3lbs. 2oz.) baby, born early and will remain in the hospital for 4 or more weeks. My niece Vicky, is now a grandma!
I am planning a few trips this year. In September,
two more of my friends will retire and we have reservations for the Boston AARP festival. Don’t laugh,
it is suppose to be a really great fun vacation!! In June, I will join my sisters and daughter in San Diego to go through my parents things that are currently in storage. I hope to incorporate a trip to the Hollywood Bowl for the Playboy Jazz Festival. This coming week I’m headed to Santa Clara to be with family and see my niece in a school performance. I hope to also hear some jazz in the city (SF) when I’m down there.

As I meander home from working out, I take pleasure in the beauty of a winter day. February has brought forth dabs of pink, white and brilliant coral delicate petals (a promise of spring) on the previously bare branches of the trees. This day, instead of being lit translucent from behind by the sun, they are framed by dark foreboding clouds. The entire upside down bowl of the sky above is full of more shapes, sizes, and styles of clouds than tongue can tell. So I marvel once again and am grateful for the beauty bestowed daily on all of us. I hope you have a chance to take a ride in your car and revel in it also.

As you can tell, “it has been a quite week in Lakewobegon”. Sunday though, things picked up as Vicky had a baby shower for Desiree (baby mama of Noah’s baby). After the shower, Carrie (Ken’s sister) watched the kids while Vicky and I went down the street to the “Hen House” to have a drink and visit Sara (a friend of Chris’) who works there. When suddenly to our surprise, in came Bonnie (Vicky’s sister from Santa Clara). We did not think she was coming, so we were very happy to see her. And that is when we began taking shots!! As they say “opportunity knocks, but temptation leans on the bell”! “Forgive me for I have zinned (as in White Zinfandel)!” Needless to say it was a FUN evening and we got to sleep late. Next day nine of us went to Turtle Bay Museum (as Bonnie and her kids had not been there). Another night of visiting and late to bed, but on Tuesday I really kicked back and caught up on my sleep! It is hard to keep up with those 10 years younger than me.

So now I’m back on track and working out and eating better. I’m making an effort to do my weekly chores--however, after writing out my list of all the house jobs I could do today, I thought...or I could read all day....and then I giggled out loud, because I REALLY could since I’m retired! I am currently reading, four books and would love to complete them. I did however, get somethings accomplished and to enjoy myself I listen to NPR and San Francisco jazz on the radio over my computer.
This coming weekend there are some live music performances I also hope to catch!

Dear Family and Friends,

How can a week be so long and yet so short? Much accomplished and much to still do. Guess that is called “life”.
Three days to completely empty and put away things from my suitcase. Two days to write 28 thank you notes (which were extremely appreciated). Making sure I got back into “Curves” (my workout program) and did my tread mil daily, before visiting my doctor (reg. yearly exam). A month of no exercise in Riverside at my mom’s was not good for my weight. In addition, to the notes I wrote, I had to go through my bills and other mail.
Also, quickly the house needed attention... especially, my water heater that quit one morning. Luckily, my nephew, Ken, came by after work and he fixed it for me.I got to spend time with Vicky and the kids, Emma (3) and Billy (1). The next day Billy was ill and I watched Emma (what fun she is) while they took Billy to the hospital. (Now he is doing well.)
A week of half rain and half sun. A couple days I had wonderful walks with friends along the Sacramento River. One day in particular, we spotted an albino squirrel, pretty rare in this area, we also saw an otter eating a fish that it had just caught. (Yeah, folks, this is Reddin’).
Yesterday, it rained all day...so I mostly stayed in and watched the DVD “The Miles Davis Story”. Today was sunny with big white clouds and beautiful as the rain had cleared the air! I was able to get out and prune my roses and noticed ALL the yard work I need to do soon.
Later, I went to Barnes and Nobles to get a book and ran into some friends from Evergreen (my former school) and there children. Good to see them.
And so goes another week of loving retirement!

Dear Family and Friends,

I’ve been home a few days now. It is definitely good to be here and to start getting back to normal. Going to hear jazz tonight at Old City Hall, was the shot in the arm that I needed.

My mother’s passing was quicker than expected, but less time she had to suffer. We three girls and my daughter,Alison, were all able to spend time with her before she died. The service was wonderful, with gorgeous flowers. The director of mother’s assisted living, volunteered to sing and beautifully sang “Amazing Grace” and “In the Garden” ac capella. Her previous neighbors read scriptures. My sister Pat, read a biography about her life, my twin, Clover read a poem, which was her and later, our guide for life. Alison, read some of her favorite quotes, and her brother-in-law, Jim, read the 23rd psalm. I expressed our appreciation to the Retirement Village staff and administrators for their amazing care, and to all of the wonderful friendly residents, Then to my sisters for all the care and time and love they have given our Mother. Earlier, at the internment, they family joined together to sing “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”. It was something she would have liked.

Then, three more weeks (in Riverside) of packing up, moving and storing her things. It was a very difficult, stressful and emotional time. Unfortunately, we have to get together in the summer and go through her things to divide them, and then sale the rest.

I do want to thank you all for the flowers, the cards and especially your friendship and support.

Hello Family and Friends,

I got home Friday evening (1-12-07) and will return to Riverside on Tuesday (1-16-07). My mom has left the hospital and is back at the “village” in skilled nursing, much like a hospital (just around a corner and a hall away from her assisted living home, where we are staying). She is now under hospice care, as she is at the end of her life. We are focusing on comfort.
She chose many years ago not to do anything about her lung cancer, and now it is overtaking her.
We have steeled ourselves to what will be. Currently, my two sisters and my daughter, Alison, are with her. I came home to quickly deal with bills and finances, before returning. This ticket is open-ended. I will try to keep in touch, but I can not always get a connection to the internet.
Thank you to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. Comfort is now our priority.

May God watch over you and me until we are together again.

A quick note my trip to Riverside was extended because my mother entered the hospital on January 3rd. She is in decline. I will return to Redding January 12th for a short time, and then head back to Riverside.

Dear Family and Friends,

Happy New Year and blessings of happiness and health to all of you!

The whirlwind is over, the decorations are put away, but yet the bills and pounds remain!! Sound familiar? I
guess that is why they say “with the new year we get to start all over”...and we should be “squared away” just in time for next December.
Christmas eve, I opened gifts with my son after he got off work. Christmas day, my son, Chris and I joined the Hastings clan at Vicky and Ken’s for an incredible feast! Fun to see everyone and play with the kids.

I enjoyed two nights out to hear music. First, on Wednesday evening was Indigo Brew, my friends who play jazz. This week their group was husband (on bass), wife (on keyboards) and son (on drums). Saturday evening was the duet Allison Scull (singer, song writer and guitar player) and Victor Martin (saxophone player and singer). This time they were joined by 2 different conga players. (Soares--your friend Joe F. and Mike Harris and I wish you’d been there).

New Year’s Eve, I took an afterrnoon walk with my friend,Viv to enjoy the lovely weather. That evening I stayed in and went to bed early to be able to accomplish all I needed to do today. This is because tomorrow I leave for Riverside to stay with my mom. She is having her ups and downs. I’ll be taking my laptop, so it would be nice to hear from all of you. Hope your year is starting out well.

Dear Family and Friends,
The week before Christmas is always a busy time, yet I was able to enjoy myself. Monday, Vicky brought the kids by and I got to watch them for a couple of hours. They are too cute!! Tuesday, I heard from the college professor who I’d e-mailed to get approval to audit his class. I got a positive answer, so I headed out to Shasta College to buy his book “The History of Jazz and Rock”, classes start January 16th. I’m in heaven!
Later in the week I attended an Open House at the home of friends. Great time and nice to see old friends from Evergreen (my old school). They do the whole house in different Christmas themes, such as, Disney, snowmen, crèches (from around the whole), American Christmas town, Santas, etc. See photo gallery that I sent through Kodak gallery. Also, you should see photos from Curves (my workout place), the owner collects penguins!
Friday evening, I felt like royalty as I was enjoyed an amazing meal at a dinner party at my girlfriend’s home.
An apple, walnut salad, seafood lasagna, antipasto veggies, and pomegranate gelato with cookies for desert. The wine was from Italy and incredible. A wonderful time!
Christmas eve, I plan on seeing my Redding family and having dinner with them on Christmas day.
Now I’m off to make plane reservations for a trip the first week of January, to Riverside to see my mom, while my sister is out of state.

Dear Family and Friends,

After a week of gloomy rainy days, at last the sun comes out. I treat myself to a relaxed morning in a comfy chair near a window and bask in sunlight, I absorb the shine and warmth, while reading the morning a paper and sipping my mandatory pot of coffee (life & retirement are GOOD).

Tuesday morning, I’d watched the twins, Cole and Kyle (one year olds) for a couple of hours. They were a lot of fun and easy to care for. Thursday evening, it was an ornament exchange/Bunco party with Evergreen (my old school) staff.
So great to see everyone, fun and food! Some interesting
ornaments were exchanged.

On Sunday, I joined my niece Vicky, her children (Emma 3, Billy 1) and her father for a little shopping and a trip to the Turtle Bay Museum for the kids to see a Winter Wonderland exhibit. Later, we went to the playground there.

An easy slow week and now all I have to do is make some Christmas goodies!

Dear Mother,

Sunny days make way for wintery dreary, chilly, rainy days, which of course reminded me of my platitude “ it should only rain at night!” Yet, here we are in the mist of Redding winter weather, my least favorite time of the year. However, I’ve completed my Christmas shopping, and my tree and decorations are up, and gift are purchased and mailed, so those are not a worry!
I did, however, have a busy week. Wednesday evening, I attended an AAUW (American Association of University Women) Christmas dinner with a friend/ member . Nice time and the best part was the junior high school jazz band that played! Very fun to hear!
Thursday, I was lucky enough to watch my 3 yr. old niece and 11 mo. old nephew--they are sooo much fun and so sweet! Saturday, was a family birthday party, the twins and Billy all had their 1st birthday party together. Lots of family and gifts and craziness! I got all Christmas tree photo ornaments as a parent gift.
Friday evening was music at the Martini Bar with my friends Holly Taylor and Eric Peter--wonderful jazz standards. She has a beautiful voice and he is on the 7 string guitar! Earlier Friday, I visited Bill at the cemetery as it was the 12th anniversary of his passing. I always light candles there and always the rain drenches them by day two.
Saturday evening was a blind date with the friend of a friend. A group of eight friends got together at a Chinese restaurant. We sat at a round table with a large lazy susan, so it was good for group conversation. Later, half of the group went to the Cheese Cake Factory for dessert. It was a fun group, fun evening and he was a nice guy...no sparks, but I’d see him again to get to know him better..
I’m sure you have heard of the Christmas song
“Grandma’s been run over by reindeer”...well, I have a new one, “Sister’s been run over by a bicycle”. Yes, my sister Clover, was knocked down, by accident, by a man on a bicycle on her school campus. Sore, but doing ok.

Dear family and friends,

After 10 or so days in Riverside helping care for my mother after her time in the hospital, I’m back at home.
She is doing better and so is my sister Pat.
I returned to mounds of mail, Christmas catalogues,and old newspapers. Also, to fresh white snow glistening on Mount Shasta, brilliant yellow and copper leaves clinging to the branches of the trees. The deep blue skies are quickly turning to gray, as rain clouds approach. Viv, Patty and I were able to squeeze in a walk and coffee at Turtle Bay late on Saturday afternoon, before the early November evening wrapped us in it’s evening cloak.
Catching up is slow to happen and yet, I soon will be headed to Santa Clara to spend Thanksgiving with family.
So why put the suitcase away? This year Alison will be staying in Portland (with many friends to share the holiday), Chris had a recent vacation in Newport Beach and will make up for it with double shifts at work. So luckily, Bonnie has invited me to join the family get together in Santa Clara. I am really looking forward to spending time with the family.
Bless the internet!! I have almost completed my Christmas shopping on-line. So easy and quick to do.
Now all I have to do is receive the packages, wrap and mail them! Hopefully, I did not place my orders twice
(which I’m afraid I may have done). Soon they will be in the mail and I’ll only be facing the credit card bill, but less stressed.
This time of year is difficult for me, due to the early sunset and dark, rainy days. There is still a lot of music, but I struggle to leave home. However, I’m determined to attend Sunday evening’s program at the “old city hall”.
Former Reddiing resident, Roger Hogan will be playing jazz with members of CSUC jazz band. Plus, Bonnie and I are hoping to hear some jazz in Santa Clara.

Dear Mother,

I want to thank you for the delicious Sees candy and the birthday card with the $100 check. One thing I’m going to buy is some new workout shoes with it. I shared the candy with my girl friends at our October birthday brunch.
It was so great to see you and Clover and Pat.
I’m glad that your medicine is making you feel better. It was fun too, to see our “old” high school friends at the reunion.
What a busy week it was. Although, I was at my 40th reunion and missed Maureen's memorial services. I spent time with family when I got back. When I got back I was able to see Bill’s brother and his wife and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie has such a wonderful family. The two of us also enjoyed some nice breakfasts out. One day I was able to shop at Santana Row when Bonnie was working and I actually got some Christmas shopping done.
Today, I was finally able to see Emma and Billy here in Redding. Billy is starting to take a few steps. Too cute!! I hope to have some Halloween photos of the kids soon! Pat can show them to you on her laptop computer, you won’t have to go to the computer room anymore!
I’ve been busy since I’ve been back. I got home Friday afternoon and after a nap went to hear music. Saturday, another music duo after working out and laundry and groceries. Sunday morning was
brunch with my friends.
Tomorrow I am going to have the garage door replaced. The old one after countless repairs has finally given up. Later in the afternoon, I have a walk on the River trail planned with a guy I met before my trip south.

Dear Mother,

Finally, fabulous fall foments friends frivolous folly!

Well, Maureen had to return to the hospital on Wednesday pm for another blood transfusion. She also has had several other tests, but was able to come home today (Sunday). She will receive some test results tomorrow and probably see the doctor on Tuesday. It is a slow process to get better. She is on a low protein, low salt and low dairy diet.
I was able to still be able to fit in a day adventure with my retired Evergreen friends, on Tuesday. We spent the day at Burney Falls and Britton Lake. Impressive falls and peaceful lake in a beautiful wilderness state park setting! Some of you may have seen the online photos.
With Maureen in the hospital--I ran errands, did some heavy cleaning and was able to enjoy a couple nights out. The outdoors Turtle Bay Cafe by the Sundial Bridge was having their last weekend of free music. Luckily, it was a band that I really enjoy, “Swing City Band”, and they were top notch!
Couples were dancing and everyone was smiling and tapping out the beat! The evening night air was pleasant and the temperatures nice. So, I ended up going two nights in a row. A couple lady friends joined me on Saturday evening.
Sunday, after getting Maureen home and settled in, I went to a gathering for a candidate for city council. It was held at my friend’s house and she had a lovely table setting and incredible horsd’oeuvres with special wines. I met some fascinating people, and was impressed with the candidate.
The up coming week also has a lot going on, I hope I can accomplish it all. I’m wishing you a wonderful week!

Dear Family and Friends,

Crazy weekend! Friday, Maureen’s doctor called and said she had a low blood count and had to have it rechecked, so we went to the lab. Then he called and said to come in Saturday to the hospital as an “out” patient to get a blood transfusion. She was ok to be alone for a while so, that evening for a short while, I met friends at the Martini Bar to listen to the Holly Taylor and Eric Peter jazz duet. They are always excellent!! Saturday I took her in to the hospital, and they said it would be about 6-7 hours, Karen (a friend) stayed with her. As planned, I went to the annual Caldwell Park by the Sacramento River Arts and Crafts Fair with friends. They had some nice things there. I got three little things @ $5 each. I checked on Maureen on my way home.
I waited for her brother and sister to arrive from San Jose and they got here in time to go get her from the hospital. The blood really helped her to look and feel better. That evening they talked her in to going to Vicky’s house for a family BBQ. I was surprised she agreed. We ate, but left soon as she needed to rest.
The next day everyone came over here, and Ken fixed a big breakfast for all. Soon I had to leave for a baby shower of a friend)...it was 4 hours long! Great lunch and lots of friends from my former school to visit with. So much fun!
Then home for a fast bite and Jackie, Maureen’s niece, came to stay with her as I dashed off to a jazz concert. I heard the Joe Gilman Trio, another great show. He was the national jazz pianist champion in 2004.
Today, I’m trying to catch up and maybe even rest! Hope you are doing well!

Dear Family and Friends,
My niece, Maureen is still with me and trying to recover, but the progress is slow. I hope they sent a home nurse, as the family is not sure what to do for her. She will see the doctor again o Wednesday. She continues to have a very extended belly and only can lie down all day.
Thursday evening I went out to the local casino, because I had read in the paper that there would be a 40th high school reunion gathering there. Well, Vicky and I searched everywhere and asked everyone and no one knew anything. I’m thinking it was canceled since it was on a Thursday evening. Too bad, I was trying to check them out, in preparation for my coming 40th reunion in October.
Saturday was my niece, Emma’s 3rd birthday!
I went over for dinner, presents and cake! What fun! First time she knew what a birthday was. There was another 3 year old girl there and they were soooo cute together. One time, they came out of the bedroom all decked out, with purses and pushing doll strollers--as if they were on a shopping trip.
Sunday--best day of this week! I got to get together with my girlfriends. We had our September birthday lunch, to celebrate the birthdays of two of the group. In addition, we pulled off a retirement surprise for Viv! We are all getting together to give her a weekend girls’ trip in November!! We haven’t decided on the place yet. Her last day of work is Monday, 9-18-06, so now I have another retired playmate!

The Autumn of My Life

Sunday was a dreary day of constant rain. However, it washed fresh and crystal clean the day that followed. A day of brilliant sunshine cutting through the clear, cool, crisp air illuminating the remaining leaves of yellows, golds, red, rust, and copper that clinged to the almost bare branches. Others covered doorsteps, stairs, sidewalks and lawns. overflowing into the streets, as though they were harvest decorations. Then dance across the road with the puff of the wind. Overhead, radiant blue fills the skies along with white cotton candy clouds. Yes, it is a day to smile! 11-27-06

So bizarre trying to connect with someone through e-mail messages and only reading their profiles (which could or could not be true)!

Some interesting things I’ve discovered are:
1) many guys do not even post their pictures,
2) some guys do not check their spelling,
example: “looking for my angle”
3) some are just plain odd: one 28 year old from
Chico who wanted me to take photos of his
“hot” body or a 35 year old guy from Holland
who apparently e-mailed me because I have
tulips in my photo
4) some even say they only want a sexual encounter
5) also, there are a lot of lonely people out there

Recently, I have been communicating via e-mail with two men, but have not seen any clear photos. So what’s a gal to do?
